Visitation for Judy Marylene Daigle Elwood, 73, will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033. The funeral service will take place Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Judy will be laid to rest on March 21, 2025, at 9:30 AM in a burial service at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.

Judy Marylene Daigle Elwood, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, in Cleburne, Texas. Born on February 6, 1952, in Eagle Lake, Maine, Judy led a vibrant life filled with creativity, love, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around her. She married Gifford Grant Elwood on October 12, 1973 in Bruchmuhlbach, Germany. She was a supportive military spouse.

Growing up in Northern Maine, she attended Fort Kent High School and the University of Fort Kent in Maine. Judy was gifted in her artistic pursuits. Throughout her life, she nurtured her passion for music, particularly playing the piano. With her proud Acadian heritage, she grew up in a household speaking fluent French. Her artistic spirit shone brightly from her childhood, and she continued to embrace her creativity into adulthood.

Judy had a profound love for the outdoors, often finding joy in the simple pleasures of nature. She delighted in the sight of flowers blooming and sunsets painting the sky, appreciating the world in a way that inspired those around her. She was a nurturing and tender mother, famously described as “a rose with thorns,” symbolizing her loving yet protective nature.

Judy was particularly devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished wholeheartedly. She brought joy and tenderness to their lives, often leaving an indelible impression on their hearts. Her legacy of love and nurturing will forever resonate within her family.

Judy is survived by her loving daughter, Nikki Hart and her husband Greg Hart; her sister, Sharon Daigle; her brother, George Daigle; her grandsons, Ean McCrea, Rustin McCrea, Ryan Hart; her granddaughter, Sarah Cook; and numerous other relatives and friends who will carry her memory forward. She was predeceased by her husband, Gifford Elwood, and her parents, Norman and Alvine Daigle.

Judy’s life was a testament to the beauty of love, creativity, and family. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
