Graveside services for Judy Denton, 75, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 20, 2022 in the Hopewell Cemetery, Joshua.
Judy passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in Cleburne. She was born to Olan Hubert and Alice Louise Wilson Hicks on January 13, 1947 in Taylor County, Texas. She married Wendell Brooks Denton in 1977 in Cleburne. Judy attended Calvary Baptist Church. She worked as a school bus driver for 15 years with the Alvarado ISD. Judy was strong willed and independent, while also being giving and loving at the same time. You never wondered where she stood as she was quick to let you know. It has been said that Judy was funny, yet she did not know she was. She believed in researching and learning about whatever interests she had throughout her lifetime. She could do anything, fix everything and build whatever she wanted to. Judy had a love of the outdoors, especially fishing and camping as well as tending to her garden, flowers and raising rabbits. Family was the center of her world. Her many lessons about life and her loving nature will be missed greatly for years to come. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 1 great grandson.
Survivors include her children, Barry DeWeese, Dana Sellers, Cody Denton and wife, Amanda, and Angie Marino; grandchildren, Dustin, Corbett, Courtney, Trey, Major, Maddox and Stella; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
