Julia Moxon

Private graveside services will be held at a later date in the Rio Vista Cemetery for Julia Ann Moxon, 86, of Grandview.
Julia passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in Cleburne. She was born June 5, 1937, in Grandview to Forrest and Callie Florence (Baxter) Harwell. She married J.C. Moxon the summer of 1954. She was of the Christian faith. Julia worked as an apartment complex property manager for a number of years. She overcame many obstacles and hard times throughout her life, all of which molded her into a resourceful, independent, and hard-working lady who had a strong will and drive. Julia always rooted for the “under dog” in all situations. She was generous with those in need She was a talented crafter and pianist in her younger years. She enjoyed being outdoors and tending to her plants. Julia was a garage sale enthusiast. She was an animal lover, especially of dogs. She found great joy in being around children, especially babies. Julia will be remembered for her jokester personality and ability to persevere.
Julia is survived by her son, Jay Anthony Moxon and his wife, Judy; daughter, Tina Renee Brockman and her husband, Bruce; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a host other friends and relatives including special nephew, Sandy Tomlinson.
Julia is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, William “Bill” Harwell, Junior Harwell, Thelma Tomlinson, Lola Looper, and Betty Horton
