June Jones

Service for June Harvey Jones, 83, of Covington will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, February 18, 2018 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Blanton Cemetery in Hill County. Pallbearers will be Jay Swindle, Heath Goggans, Bud Jones, Ted O’Neil, Darrell Higgins, and Miles Bivens.

June Harvey Jones passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Covington. She was born September 4, 1934 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to J.W. and Ida Mae Vaughn Harvey. She married her sweetheart, Robert L. Jones, Jr. on January 10, 1953 in Fort Worth and he preceded her in death on March 11, 1999, after 46 years of marriage.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of Woodrow Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Lee Banks and husband James of Covington; grandchildren, Andrea Swindle and husband Jay of Cleburne and Brittany Banks of Covington; great grandchildren, Addison Banks, Audrey Rhodes, and Jacob Swindle; step-grandson, Gordon Banks and wife Kayla of Houston; step great-grandchildren, James Banks and Maci Banks. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Barbara Stevens.
