June Rogers

Service for June Wray Rogers, 69, of Fort Worth, will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, August 17, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Jonathan Hewett and the Reverend Charles Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

June Rogers passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in Fort Worth. She was born May 17, 1943 in Cleburne to Robert Samuel and Myrtle Ruth Watson Wray. She retired after 30 years of service as an operator for Southwestern Bell and AT&T. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne and also attended McKinney Memorial Bible Church in Fort Worth. She also belonged to the Telephone Pioneers Club.

June had a strong Christian faith. She enjoyed spending time with her former co-workers from Southwestern Bell and AT&T. She adored her grandchildren very much and always had her home decorated for them at Christmas. She placed a great importance on supporting all their school activities.

June Wray Rogers is survived by her daughter, Sammie Sheppard and husband, Fred of Willow Park; brother, Jimmy Wray and wife Carol of Cleburne; grandchildren, Kaity, Hanah and Ben Sheppard; nephews, Scott Wray and Steven Wray; great-nieces, Hailey and Rachel Wray; great-nephew, Alex Wray and many other family and friends.
