Mr. Meek passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2006 in Ft. Worth. He was born April 4, 1936 in Cleburne to Sanford and Margaret McMurry Meek. He married Ann Mack on February 11, 1975 in Granbury.
Mr. Meek was a professional bull figher, contestant, and rodeo clown for the PRCA for over 20 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
Junior Meek is survived by his wife Ann Meek of Godley; grandson, Jasper Wood of Godley; two sons, Loyd Meek and wife Sherade of Anson and Robert Wood and wife Tammy of Godley; two daughters, Mandy Ellis and husband Larry of Abilene and Missie Hall and husband Larry of Abilene; five granddaughters, Lauren Rowland, Jordan Ellis, Christian Hall, Savannah Meek and Cheyanne Wood; four grandsons, Stetson Meek, Jet Ellis, Haskell and Harrison Hall; one sister, Sandy Evans and husband Harry of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers, Tom Scott and wife Jana of Cleburne and Homer Scott and wife Verner of Vernal, Utah; two sisters-in-law, Jimi Vasser and husband Phil of Natchez, Mississippi and Pat Engler and husband Dr. Robert of Vicksburg, Mississippi.
