Graveside services for J.W. "Hack" Hackler, 69, of Blum will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2009 in the Blum Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bennie Bell, Roy Bell, Russell Hackler, Roy Hackler, Billy Scott, Jerry Scott and Jimmy Rape.
J.W. "Hack" Hackler passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 in Blum. He was born February 18, 1939 in Cleburne to Roy T. and Minnie Marie Runnels Hackler.
Mr. Hackler was a supervisor for Lone Star Gas Company with over 30 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.
J.W. "Hack" Hackler is survived by his daughter, Kathy Hafferton and husband, Sherman of Whitney; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Royce Hackler and wife, Chryle of Blum; three sisters, Helen Hallmark and husband, Bob of Blum, Wanda Rape and husband, John of Waco and Earlene Scott and husband, Charles of Blum and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Minnie Hackler; two sons, Michael Roy Hackler and Steven J. Hackler.
