Service for Karen Louise Dybdahl Smith, 76, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Keene Seventh Day Adventist Church. Elder Bill Kilgore will officiate. Burial to follow in Keene Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert N. Smith III, Brian Smith, Jeff Quattlebaum, Jon Dybdahl, Jeff Lively and Tom Dybdahl.
Karen surrounded by her family, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2021 in Cleburne. She was born August 24, 1944 in Oakland, California to Gerhardt and Erma Olevia Glantz Dybdahl. She married Dr. Robert Norwood Smith Jr., on December 21, 1967 in Loma Linda, California. Karen held a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Karen was a prayerful woman who adored her family and invested in those around her. She was always present and was passionate about Christian Education and exemplified a servant’s heart. She will be dearly missed by all who were graced with the opportunity to know her.
Karen is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert N. Smith Jr.; children, Robert N. Smith III and wife, Tiffany of San Jacinto, California, Heather Quattlebaum and husband, Jeff of Burleson, Kari Lively and husband, Jeff of Cleburne; grandchildren, Mackensie, Dallas, Ryan, and Madison; brothers, Jon Dybdahl and Kathy of Walla Walla, Washington, Thomas Dybdahl and Patricia of Boulder, Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gerhardt, and Erma Dybdahl.
