Katherine Johnson

Services for Katherine Johnson, 84, of Hindsville, Arkansas will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 13, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-6 P.M. Sunday.

Mrs. Johnson, a retired dietician with Burleson ISD, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born June 19, 1926 in Commerce to Lonnie and Ora May Junkins Bowles. She married Dexter Monroe Johnson. She was a longtime member of the Rebekah Lodge in Cleburne and was of the Baptist faith.

Katherine is survived by her sons, Larry Steve Johnson and wife, Laura of Fayetteville, Arkansas and David Glenn Johnson and wife, Kathy of Hindsville, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Neva Bowles of Fort Worth and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002 and a son, Danny Johnson.
