Kathleen Ryan

A Celebration of Life for Kathleen Kennedy Ryan, 63, of Itasca will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 11:00 A.M., at Covington United Methodist Church with a luncheon to follow at Covington Community Center.

Kathleen passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022, at her home. She was born February 4, 1959, in Cleburne, Texas to Mr. & Mrs. George Kennedy.

Kathleen grew up in Covington and attended Covington School. She worked at Brown and Root and Walls Industries for several years. Her greatest joy was becoming a Momma. She was always happy, loving and funny. Whether it was cracking jokes or making up silly songs, she was fun to be around. She loved listening to music, singing, dancing, and the Dallas Cowboys. She never turned down a game of 42. Ludy as she was called by her family and friends, loved her baby goat Dolly Michelle.

Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Alisha Ryan and fiancé, Adam Torrez of Fort Worth, and Amber Ryan and fiancé, Stephan Powell of Grand Prairie; sister, Gloria Reyna and husband, Simon of Grandview; brothers, James Kennedy and wife, Kim of Covington, Tim Kennedy and wife, Mary Ann of Covington, and Stacy Kennedy and wife, Jody of Mansfield; stepmother, Barbara Thornell of Mansfield; sister-in-law, Olive Kennedy Stovall of Joshua; best friends, Robin Johnson of Itasca and Linda Garcia of Cleburne; along with numerous family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Kennedy; sister, Sylvia Kennedy; brothers, Danny Kennedy, Alfred Kennedy and Randy Kennedy; aunt and uncle Lucille and Chester Hawhee.
