Kathryn Sawyer

Graveside service for Kathryn Sawyer, 83, of Godley will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in the Godley Cemetery in Godley. The Reverend Wayne McCoy will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sawyer passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 in Godley. She was born July 2, 1928 in Coolidge, TX to Edgar Poe and Rebecca Ruth Dohoney Vinson. She married E.W. "Wayne" Sawyer on June 2, 1949 in Coolidge.

Mrs. Sawyer was a retired sales clerk for J.C. Penney in Cleburne and a member of Godley United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Wayne Ann Davis and Sherri Oliver both of Godley; son-in-law, Raymond McKittrick and wife Tonya of Godley; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Ann Vinson of Coolidge and a brother, Danny Edgar Vinson of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Sawyer; daughter, Karen Lea McKittrick, sister, Mary Dowdle and two brothers, Billy Vinson and Myron Vinson.
