Memorial services for Kathryn Marie Standley, 67, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.

Mrs. Kathryn Marie Standley passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 in Cleburne. She was born July 10, 1943 in Cleburne to James Henry and Helen Marie Smith Cannon. She married James Earl Standley, III on May 15, 1965 in Cleburne.

Kathryn was a legal secretary in Johnson County for over 35 years. She was very respected in the legal community, not only as an accomplished secretary, but as a kind, smart, loving person. Kathryn would do anything for anyone at any time of the day or night. She was of the Baptist faith.

Kathryn is survived by her husband of 45 years, James Earl Standley, III of Cleburne; her loving and caring daughter, Danna Kaye Crosley and her husband, John Steele of Grandview; the joy of her life, one grandson, Aaron Travis Crosley; her sister, Donna Faye Turner and husband, Ben Hill Turner of Cleburne. Donna was very special to Kathryn. She helped raise Donna throughout her life and Donna not only became her sister-best friend, Donna was considered a second daughter to Kathryn.
She is also survived by a sister, Linda Cannon of Joshua and her two companions, Wesley and Blondie, who will miss her very much.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Cannon on May 7, 2002 and James H. Cannon on October 20, 2006.
