Kathy Sue (Hinson) Spann went to be with our Lord at 2:26 P.M. on April 16, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Kathy was born on April 17, 1958, to George Edward Hinson and Mary Sue (Roden) Hinson in Cleburne Memorial Hospital. She was the third of six children. She has been a lifelong resident of Grandview; attended Grandview ISD and was a 1976 graduate of Grandview High School.
Kathy was always the quiet and sweet spirit. She loved the Lord, lived with a strong moral code and believed in treating everyone with respect. She loved her family and friends deeply. She worked at several different jobs but for the last 25 years she was employed by Grandview ISD, where she was effective throughout her life, in the lives of the children and was respected by the teachers. She was planning to retire in May of this year. Kathy was the rock of her family, and she was loved by many. She will be missed greatly.
She leaves behind her husband, Roger Spann; one daughter, Heather Hickey; bonus daughters, Jennifer Campbell and Michelle Prater; bonus son, Jamie (Christy) Spann; grandchildren, Courtney, Karl, Christopher (Sydney), Clayton (Savanah), Cameron, Aaron, Brigette, Chelsea; six great-grandchildren; her mother, Mary Sue (Roden) Hinson; sisters, Marshi (Bruce) Young, Amy (David) Moldenhauer, Pat (Bill) Gatlin; brothers, Clint (Ame) Hinson, Vincent Hinson; sister-in-law, Jerra Davila; brothers-in-law, Dewayne (Clarissa) Spann and Curtis (Tonya) Spann; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the Community Hospice House of Texas for all the care and support during this sad and tough time.
