Service for Ken Thiessen, 73, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 14, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Danny Rogers and the Reverend F.L. Ashley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Thiessen passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 in Cleburne. He was born Oct. 25, 1938 in Garden City, Kansas to John and Ruth Lohrentz Thiessen. He married Judith Ann Garrett on Feb. 3, 1968 in Cleburne.

Mr. Thiessen served in the U.S. Army and was a retired machinist for the Santa Fe and Union Pacific Railroad. He was a board member and very active in Camp Fire for over 40 years. He was an active member of the Texas Cushman Club and the National Cushman Club. He was also a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Thiessen of Cleburne; one daughter, Angie Fralicks and husband, Steve of Crowley; two granddaughters, JaNice and Kaylee Jay, both of Covington; and one sister, Dora Cook of Uvalde. His extended family includes two daughters, Suzanne Bowen of Mansfield and Brenda Lyons and husband, Tim of Waxahachie and their children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Carol Thiessen.
