Kenneth Dixon

Service for Kenneth O. Dixon, 66, of Godley will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 3, 2011 in the First Baptist Church of Godley. The Reverend Kenneth Coleman officiated. Pallbearers were John Hays, Mason Hays, Dalton Hays, John McElroy Jr., John David Dixon and Josh McCurdy. A private family burial was held in the Crawford Cemetery in Crawford.

Mr. Dixon passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 in Ft. Worth. He was born November 4, 1944 in Waco to Elmer O. and Alice Hughes Dixon. He married Patricia Golson on July 4, 1981 in Waco.

Mr. Dixon served proudly in the U.S. Airforce and was a retired postal worker for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Godley.

Kenneth Dixon is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patricia Golson Dixon of Godley; three daughters, Belinda Strawser and husband Jason of Valley Mills, Sharon Rhoads and husband Greg of Temple and Robin Fisher and husband Brian of Arlington; son, Andrew G. Dixon of Cleburne; mother Alice Dixon of Waco; two sisters, Paula Johnson and husband Ben of Waco and Celia Ramsey and husband Bobby of Crawford; two brothers, Russell Dixon and wife Dianne and Timothy Dixon and wife Janna, all of Waco; nine grandchildren, Koby, Whitney, Kennadi, Kamrie, Wriley, Mabri, Ally, Chloe and Erik. He was preceded in death by his father.
