Service for Kenneth “Ken” Martin, 71, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 27, 2018 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Daniel So will officiate. Burial will be in Watts Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alton Fuller, Tolin Navarrette, Antonio Navarrette, James Fussner, Presley Auvenshine and Jordan Martinez. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Kenneth “Ken” Martin passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in Ft. Worth. He was born September 29, 1946 in Abilene to Jack and Helen Ruth Brown Martin. He married Sandra Elaine Spitzer on November 25, 1983 in Clifton.
Mr. Martin worked as a warehouse manager, retiring from Chaparral Steel with 32 years of service. He was a very avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Riverview Country Club and Mountain Valley Country Club. He was a member of Watts Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 34 years, Sandy Martin of Cleburne; daughters, Christi Bennett and husband Benjy of Grandview and Diana Hutto and husband Marty of Cleburne; son, Jerry Tomlinson of Reno, Nevada; granddaughters, Meaghan Wilson, Annie Hutto, and Shae Wilson; great grandson, Joziah Martinez; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his birth parents; Jack and Helen Martin; and Floyd and Opal Brock who raised him; sister, Shirley Higginbotham and a son-in-law, Joe Clay Wilson.
