A graveside service for Kenneth James Simmons, 53, of Grandview will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 10, 2017 in the Grandview Cemetery. Pastor Corey Cornutt of First Baptist Church of Grandview will officiate. Public visitation will be from 12-3:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. Family will not be present.
Kenneth James Simmons passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 in Ft. Worth, surrounded by his family. Ken was born May 24, 1964 in Arlington. He graduated from Kearney High School in Kearney, MO, later earning his degree in business. He married Michelle R. Smith on June 26, 1993 in Cleburne.
Ken worked as a mechanical design engineer at Standard–Aero. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and antique guns and was a dedicated Marshall at the Colonial Golf Tournament in Ft. Worth every year.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 24 years, Michelle R. Simmons; three children, Hannah Wright and husband Haden, Allyson Simmons, Sarah Grande and husband Willard; parents, James and Sheila Simmons; sisters, Tammy Stocker and husband Richard; and Kathy Simmons; several nieces and nephews and the rest of his family and friends.
The family of Ken Simmons wishes to thank Community Hospice in Burleson, Guardian Healthcare, The First Baptist Church of Grandview, and all involved in the Ken Simmons 5K run.
