Service for Kevin Michael Atchley, 35, of Burleson will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 30, 2015 in the First United Methodist Church of Joshua.
The Reverend Dale Wilbanks will officiate.
Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tim O’Quinn, Bryan Meers, Ryan Peterson, Keith Ledbetter, Jeremiah Kirby, and Josh Kirby. Honorary pallbearer will be Griffin Ellis.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
Kevin Michael Atchley passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 in Ft. Worth. He was born August 13, 1979 in Cleburne to Gary Martin and Melinda Mindy Morrow Atchley. He married Bailey Erin Peterson on December 13, 2009.
Kevin worked as a restaurant manager and was a loving husband, father, friend, son, brother, uncle, nephew and grandson, as well as a singer, songwriter, guitarist and poet. He was lead singer in the bands “Bugg Superstar and “On the Double” and had a passion for music that was infectious. He loved the Beatles and Nirvana and cooking. He was baptized on October 13, 2013 and loved his church family deeply. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Joshua and was an organ donor. His beautiful smile and love for life and his family will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Bailey Atchley; children, Zoe Makennah Atchley of Cleburne, Piper Erin Atchley, and Jude Michael Atchley, of Burleson; parents, Mindy and Gary Atchley of Cleburne; grandmother, Judy Morrow of Graford; brothers, David Atchley and wife Amy of Denton and Tommy Atchley and wife Leslie of Allen; mother and father-in-law, Lisa Peterson and Mike Wylie; father and mother-in-law, Dan and Karen Peterson; all of Hurst; brother-in-law, Gavin Peterson of Denton; sister-in-law, Amanda Peterson of Dallas; brother-in-law, Bryan Meers and wife Maggie of Abilene and Ryan Peterson and wife Karen of Hurst; grandmother-in-law, Nancie Day of Ft. Worth; aunt, Samantha Morrow of Arlington, Patti Morrow and husband Kevin Davis of Chicago and Debbe and Mike Prater of Cleburne; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
