Kevin Lee Williams passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 in Cleburne. He was born the son of Lester Gerald “Red” and Betty Lou Ramsey Williams on January 22, 1971 in Meridian, Texas. Kevin served with honor in the United States Coast Guard, where he retired after 25 years as an ITC (Chief Petty Officer). Kevin was of the Baptist faith. He married Dawn Johnson on July 31, 2022 in Cleburne. They shared many trips throughout the country visiting different military bases along their ventures, enjoying every moment. He was spontaneous and bigger than life in so many ways. Kevin was a family man, to say the least. Everyone claimed him as their brother or uncle. Many times at family gatherings you would find him not with the adults, but entertaining and playing with all the children in the family. Kevin was competitive and enjoyed playing Farkle or Yahtzee, throwing darts, working out in the gym or taking in a golf round with friends and family. Kevin was passionate about singing, especially at karaoke events. His love of music drew people to him. He has been described as being “quirky” and to know him was to love him. He left everlasting marks on all those that came in contact with him that will live on long beyond his 52 years here with us. Kevin was greeted in Heaven by his parents, Red and Betty Williams; and sister, Lisa Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn Williams and her family; brother, Jason Williams and his wife, Christine; nephews, Justin Williams and Brian Williams; a host of other relatives and countless friends.
