Kris Underhill

Service for Kris Underhill, 90, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Sunday, May 31, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Dr. Bill Kilgore will officiate.

Visitation will be on Friday from 5-7 P.M., at the funeral home.

Kris Underhill passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Fort Worth. She was born December 20, 1924 in Albany, Missouri to Chris and Jessie Lewis Gardner. She married Dr. Charles Underhill on August 31, 1946 in Missouri.

Mrs. Underhill was a fourth grade teacher with 20 years of service at Nola Dunn Elementary in Burleson. She was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.

Kris Underhill is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dr. Charles Underhill of Cleburne; sons, Jerry Underhill and wife Sandra of Fort Worth and Charles Underhill and wife Lisa of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Andrea Janes Melander, Shawn Janes, Alexandria Underhill Hopps, Nicholas Underhill, Zachary Underhill, Parker Underhill, Jason Underhill; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Kristie Underhill and Joanne Underhill Janes; and grandson, Matthew Melander.
