Service for L. Jack Moss, 87, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Clyde Slimp will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Andrew Moss, Jonathan Moss, Kenneth McBride, Brannon Nelson, Ray Triplett and Don Turner.
L. Jack Moss passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 in Cleburne. He was born Oct. 4, 1928 in White Deer to Malcolm P. and Florence M. Reeves Moss. He married Jackie Ann Cooper on March 24, 1950 in McKinney and she preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 1996.
Mr. Moss served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was an accountant and auditor at the Veterans Administration, retiring with 35 years of service. He was a member of Westhill Church of Christ.
Survivors include his sons, Mike Moss and wife Anita of Duncan, OK and Tim Moss and wife Linda of Corinth; two grandsons, Andrew Moss and wife Erica and Jonathan Moss and wife Lindsey; great granddaughter, Emilia Jane Moss; two step granddaughters, April Craig and Amanda Nelson; step grandson, Kenneth McBride, Jr.; two sisters, Martha Stephens of Sherman and Betty Gray of Howe; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
