Service for Lanell Woolsey, 73, of Washington, Kansas will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursay, Dec. 27, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Steve Pixler will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Lanell Woolsey passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 in Washington, Kansas. She was born Oct. 30, 1939 in Brownwood to William and Opal Story Cooley.
Mrs. Woolsey worked for Kellwood Manufacturing in Fairbury, Nebraska as a seamstress and was a truck driver. Lanell was also a CNA. She liked to attend plays, sew, listen to Christian music and attend church. She also enjoyed playing the bass guitar in a country band for several years and was a member of the United Pentecostal of Promise in Beatrice, Neb.
Survivors include her sons, Daniel Woolsey and Kenneth Stephens, both of Washington, Kansas and Glen Woolsey of Joshua and their spouses; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Bill Cooley of Brownwood; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jack Stephens; and a daughter, Dana Woolsey.
