LaNett Johnson

Services for LaNett Johnson, 51, of Covington, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 25, 2011 in the Lane Prairie Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Clements officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Point Cemetery, Lillian. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Friday, June 24, 2011.

Mrs. Johnson passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011 at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born May 15, 1960 in Texas. LaNett married Lonnie Johnson on June 16, 2001 in Joshua. She worked as the Activities Director with Chisholm Trails in Keene for over 8 years. She was of the Baptist faith. LaNett was a creative lady, who could make or do anything. She was talented in all aspects of arts and crafts, including silk screenings, stained glass, and yard art. "Nana" as her granddaughter calls her, enjoyed playing internet social games such as Farm Town. She was hard working and open with her thoughts and beliefs. LaNett's bubbly personality and love of laughter will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas A. and Wanda Lester DeVore; and sister, Loretta.
Survivors include her husband of 10 years, Lonnie Johnson; son, Steven Lorenz; granddaughter, BriAnna Lorenz; mom, Corine DeVore; brothers and their spouses, Charlie and Lynn DeVore, Luke and Lisa Lorenz, Matt and Janet Lorenz, Bill Lorenz, David and Teena Lorenz; mother in law, Patsy Johnson; sister in law and her husband, Dana and Keith Hale; brother in law and his wife, David and Tina Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives including her former husband, Danny.
