Graveside service for Larry Huston, 64, of Rio Vista will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 2, 2012 in the Rio Vista Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 3-5 P.M., Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Huston went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 29, 2012 in Rio Vista. He was born July 16, 1947 in Stephenville to A.C. and Betty Lee Huston.
Larry was a member of the United States Army and served his country proudly as a crew chief on the L19 Birddog and served in the Vietnam War from 1967-68. He loved spending his time with former military friends as well as spending his time at the American Legion Post 648 in Rio Vista where he held officer status for the Auxiliary Board. He loved to help plan and execute many benefit functions for community members when in need.
He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He always loved a good laugh and enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends. Mr. Huston is preceded in death by his father A.C. Huston.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Huston; son, Blaine Huston and wife, Talissa; sister, Pam Gallagher and husband, Bob; niece, Jennifer Talbert and her husband Scott and their daughter Payton; 6 grandchildren, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
