Larry “Wayne” Underwood, 69, of Cleburne, passed away January 18, 2019 in Fort Worth. A memorial service is scheduled Friday, January 25 at 11:00 A.M. in Henderson Street Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.

Wayne was born February 7, 1949 in Blaine County, Oklahoma to A.O. “Shorty” and Anna Grace (Smith) Underwood. He married Crystal Celeste Daniel in Cleburne on April 19, 1980. He and Crystal grew up in the same neighborhood in Cleburne and he was very supportive of her. He was a joyful man who loved the Lord and his family. He was a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church.

In Cleburne High School, he ran track and even went to UTA on a track scholarship. In his lifetime, he was a hard worker and had three businesses. He loved sports, especially his Texas Rangers.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 38 years, Crystal Daniel Underwood; sisters Kathleen Knapp and husband Richard of Cleburne, Carolyn Brown and husband Chuck of Burleson; and brother Gary Underwood and wife Leigh Ann of Godley. He was preceded by his parents and brothers David and Roger Underwood.
