Graveside service for Laura Ellen Whipp Baize, 68, of Cleburne will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 at Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. The Reverend Brooks Monk will officiate, assisted by Minister Jim Hudspeth.
Laura Ellen Whipp Baize passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016 in Denton. She was born November 21, 1947 in Cleburne to John Bascom and Narcissus Margaret Horne Whipp. She married Lloyd Dee Baize on April 22, 1967 in Cleburne.
Mrs. Baize was a registered professional appraiser at the Central Appraisal District of Johnson County. She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a friend to many. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and bird watching. Laura was of the Baptist faith and a staunch yellow dog Democrat.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Lloyd Baize of Cleburne; daughters, Amy Gill and husband Chris of Joshua and Emily Ledbetter and husband Matthew of Cleburne; grandchildren, Dustin and wife Courtney, Brandon, Abby, and John; great granddaughter, Maddison; sisters, Marilyn Bell and husband Paul and Carol Johnson and husband Herman and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Bonham; and brother, George Whipp.
