Graveside services for Laura Geneva Robinson Kane, 87, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 30, 2010 in the Cook Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park, Austin, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 28, 2010 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. Mrs. Kane passed away in Cleburne on Wednesday, August 25, 2010. She was born November 5, 1922 in Scurry County, Texas to Osie Hubert and Ida Mae Bearden Robinson. She worked as a secretary and stenographer with the Internal Revenue Service until she married and became a homemaker. She married John Wallace Kane on June 23, 1960 in Seguin, Texas. She was of the Catholic faith. Laura enjoyed flowers, genealogy, writing novels, reading, traveling and painting artwork. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Betty Jean Fears; and brother, Joseph "Bob" Robinson.

Survivors include her daughters, Laura Johanna Kane of Cleburne and Sarah Katherine Williams of Madill, OK; grandchildren, Phillip Allan Williams, Allison Elizabeth Dickieson and Allyssa Erin Williams all of Madill, OK; sisters and brothers, Frances Goff of Cleburne, Norma "Bill" Gardner of Grandview, John Paul Robinson of Houston and George "Porgy" Robinson of Parker; numerous nieces, nephews and her dearly loved dogs, Pepper and Chi Chi.
