Services for Laura Alice (Moses) Meekes, 73, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 25, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Steve Womack will officiate. Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 26, 2010 in Glendale Cemetery, Goliad, TX. Pallbearers will be Phillip Helms, Tyler Cortez, Ron Popp, Peyton Popp, Rene Cortez, Mickey Helms, Garth Nicholson, Larry Johnson and Eldon Johnson.

Mrs. Laura Meekes passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010 in Cleburne. She was born January 26, 1937 in Mangum, OK to Willis and Willie Fay Grubbs Davis. She married Henry Moses on September 3, 1969 in Gainsville.

She was a licensed vocational nurse and was of the Church of Christ faith.

Laura Moses Meekes is survived by children, Robert Matthews and wife, Tonia of Blanchard, OK, Oran Moses and wife, Angie, of La Vernia and Tammy Cortez and husband, Diego, of Cleburne; brothers, Elmer Davis and wife, Naomi, of Washington, OK, Alvin Davis and wife, Jean of Pauls Valley, OK; sister, Nancy Ruth Womack of Noble, OK; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Moses on July 8, 1993; son, Lester Matthews and six siblings.
