Lavada Edwards

Lavada Edwards passed away Thursday, August 11, 2005 in Burleson. She was born July 6, 1911 in Rainbow, Texas, to Grover Cleveland and Ida Rose Wesson Barnett. She married O.J. Edwards on December 21, 1929 in Johnson County, Texas.
Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of Cleburne.
Lavada Edwards is survived by three daughters, Geneva E. Henderson and husband Jack of Burleson; Barbara Kay Schlieper and husband Charles of Temple and Patricia Ann Logsdon and husband John of Mt. View, Arkansas; son, Clarence Ray "Bud" Edwards and wife Becky of Burleson; fourteen grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband O.J. Edwards in 1986; two sons, D.C. Edwards in 2002 and Ralph Edwards in 1980; daughter, Deloris "Dody" Edwards in 1999; father, Grover Barnett; mother, Ida Tarpley.
