Funeral services for Lemuel David Jackson, 71, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at First Baptist Church of Rio Vista with Rev. Paul Pinyan officiating. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Cleburne's Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home.

Lemuel David Jackson, a retired assembler for General Motors, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2005, in Fort Worth. He was born March 12, 1934, in Morganfield, Kentucky, the son of William Roy and Mary Ben (Buchanan) Jackson. He married Sarah VanVactor, May 7, 1960. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rio Vista. He was preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Jackson, of Rio Vista; sons, Phillip Glenn Jackson, of Lakeside Village and Bradley Carl Jackson, of Rio Vista; six grandchildren, Ashley Hudson, David Roy Jackson, Phillip Glenn Jackson, Jr., Derek Keith Jackson, Amber Breann Jackson and Lemuel Brady Jackson; one great-grandchild, Nathan Kane Hudson; sisters, Alma Lillian Timmons, Morganfield, Kentucky, Betty Jean Alexander, Quinlan, Texas, Judy Cheryl Sellers, Hooks, Texas, Nancy Carol Benavides, Italy, Texas; brothers, Larry Harold Jackson, Italy, Texas, Ronald Nelson Jackson and Richard Allen Jackson, both of Morganfield, Kentucky; sister, Mary Florence Holmes, Slaughters, Kentucky.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Rio Vista Building Fund.
