Services for Lena Mae King Alder, 93, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Eddie Freeman will officiate. Burial will follow in Derden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association North Central Texas at 2630 West Freeway, Suite 100, Fort Worth, TX 76102.

Lena passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 in Fort Worth. She was born to Hubert Altha and Ona Sipes Moser on August 30, 1919 in Lancaster, Texas. Lena married her first husband, John Curtis King, Sr. in 1938 and he preceded her in death in January of 1986. On February 24, 1988 she married Leonard David Alder in Cleburne. She was a longtime member of East Henderson Baptist Church. Lena worked in the assembly department of Range Aire for over 23 years. She was an inspiration to everyone she knew, always full of energy and never complaining. Mema as her grandchildren affectionately called her was irreplaceable to the countless lives she touched. Lena enjoyed life to the fullest especially spending time with her family and friends, cooking, crocheting, dancing, singing, working in the yard, solving crossword puzzles and just keeping up with everyone in general. It has been said that she was a tough lady who loved clothes and jewelry. Her independent nature and giving spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; and siblings, Helen Leck, Verna Millsap, Mable Marshall, Tommy Moser, and Charlie Moser.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Leonard David Alder; children, Barbara Stack and her husband, Don, John King, Jr. and his wife, Shirl, and Jeanette Cornett and her husband, Don; 8 grandchildren, Sheri Skidmore, Teri Hughes, Johnny Hodge, Kellie Moore, David King, Kristie King, Courtney Chambers, and Chad Cornett; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
