Lena Fowler

Services for Lena Morean Fowler, 87, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Jacky Mears and Reverend Paul Pinyon will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Maxie Fowler, Jr., Joey Fowler, David Welty, Craig Furtick, Brad Fowler and B.J. Fowler. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Fowler, Derek Blevins, Randy Fowler, Scott Fowler, Jeff Welty and Chad Welty.
Lena Morean Fowler passed away Saturday, October 20, 2007 in Fort Worth. She was born November 20, 1919 in Red River County, Texas to James Horace and Edna Beatrice Gable Smith. She married R.L. Fowler on December 28, 1938 in Red River County, TX.
Mrs. Fowler retired from Texel Industries as a seamtress and attended First Baptist Church in Rio Vista. Her main focus was her God and her family. She also loved sports, fishing and music.
Lena Fowler is survived by her sons, Maxie Fowler and wife Neta of Sand Flat, Buddy Fowler and wife Linda of Rio Vista, Bobby Fowler and wife Sharon of Sand Flat and Harold Ray Fowler and wife Anita of Burleson; daughters, Patsy Welty and husband James of Alvarado, Linda Furtick and husband Jerry of Cleburne and Mary Hobson and husband Jack of Rio Vista; sister-in-law, Willie Smith of Cleburne; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. L. Fowler in 1973; three sisters and one brother.
