Service for Lena Ruth Hargis, 89, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery.
Lena Ruth Hargis passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 in Cleburne. She was born June 24, 1929 in Cleburne to Adam and Mae Glover Yockel. She married Bobby Weldon Hargis on July 15, 1951 in Cleburne and he preceded her in death on April 25, 2014, after 62 years of marriage.
Mrs. Hargis was an executive secretary in commercial real estate until retiring. She was a member of Buel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Richard Hargis of Cleburne, Victoria Brown and husband Iain of McKinney, Catherine Hargis of Cleburne, and Spencer M. Hargis of Boston, MA; grandchildren, Christopher Wells, Mary Wells, Jason Wells, Elliot Brown and Simon Brown; great grandchildren, Justin, Timothias, Tobey, Keather and Roy Lee; sister, Freida Michalka of Midlothian; niece, Gina Braden; and nephew, Alan Michalka. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Yockel; and two sisters, Francis Yockel and Dorothy Nell Kuykendall.
