Leonardo Gomez

Service for Leonardo Gomez, 55, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 28, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Hector Salinas will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Friday.

Mr. Gomez passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in Ft. Worth. He was born May 10, 1956 in Hactopan, Hidalgo, Mexico to Odilon and Maria Lopez Gomez. He married Luz Elena Elizalde on December 28, 1979 in San Luis, Potosi, Mexico.

Mr. Gomez was a retired welder with Gunderson Industries and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Luz Gomez of Cleburne; mother, Maria Lopez of Mexico; two sons, Manuel Gomez and wife Miriam of Cleburne and Danny Gomez and wife Jessie of Granbury; four brothers, Blas, Fermin, and Mario Gomez and Perfecto Lopez; four sisters, Maria, Ruthi, and Theo Gomez and Tomasa Lopez; four grandchildren, Jasmin, Sonia, Amy, and Jared Gomez. He was preceded in death by his father, Odilon Gomez and one grandchild, Matthew Leonardo Gomez.
