Leone "Lonnie" Rusch

Leone “Lonnie” (Campbell) Rusch, 79, of Godley, Texas, passed away on November 9, 2024, in Cleburne. Born on February 12, 1945, in Tyler, Texas, Lonnie brought joy to those around her throughout her life. She married Ronnie Rusch on May 11, 1962, in Liberal, Kansas, and together they shared 57 years of love and companionship before his passing on May 14, 2019.

A woman of many passions, Lonnie enjoyed shopping, traveling, crafting, working on puzzles, and reading. She was also a devoted fan of the Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, she cherished her role as a grandmother, attending all her grandchildren's sporting events, recitals, and family gatherings, demonstrating her unwavering support and love. Lonnie's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered for her love and dedication.

Lonnie is survived by her children, Christine Berner and her husband Kevin, Kadra Ramsey and her husband Kenny, Patty Hicks and her husband Charlie, Ronald Rusch and his wife Pamela, and Elizabeth Klowas and her husband Patrick. She will be remembered by her 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Mary Rosamond (Brewer) Campbell; her beloved husband, Ronnie Rusch; and her brother, Frank Campbell.
