A visitation for Leoy C. Bivens will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033. A funeral service celebrating Leoy's life will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, 700 Woodard, Cleburne, TX 76033. A Masonic Burial will follow at Squaw Creek Cemetery, Glen Rose, Tx.
Leoy C. Bivens, a beloved husband, father, grandfather (PawPa), brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on June 9, 1941, in Lucky Ridge, Texas. Leoy lived a life marked by his deep faith and unwavering love for his family. He was a Meat Cutter an farmer. He enjoyed cooking for everyone, especially for our family reunions, camping and boating at the lake. Loved taking rides on his Goldwing Trike.
A proud member of the Masonic Lodge for 60 years, Leoy embodied the values of service and brotherhood. Known for his kind heart and generosity, he was a very caring man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. As a devoted Christian, Leoy accepted Christ as his Savior at a young age, living a life that reflected his faith. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Leoy is survived by his wife, Janet Bivens, daughter Kimberly Thetford, son Colby Bivens and his wife Allison; Cynthia Esterline; son Dustin Esterline and his wife Heather; son, Scott Johnson and his wife Brittney; grandchildren Jeffrey Thetford, Colton Bivens an wife Ashten, Allaney, Rostyn, Jacob, Steven, Isaac, Benjamin, Hayden and Trouper; great-grandchildren Camden, Jaxsen, Ryli, Brooklyn, Brynn, and Cooper; sisters Louella Vernon and her husband Bob, Loretha Galloway and her husband Glen, and Lonita Rachel Larson and her husband Brian; brothers Lemuel Bivens and his wife Cindy, and Timothy Bivens and his wife Judy.
Leoy was preceded in death by his parents, Leaford and Mozelle Bivens, son Steven Lee Bivens, grandson Kristopher Thetford, and son-in-law Jon Thetford. Though he has departed from this world, his loving spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Leoy C. Bivens will be remembered not only as a wonderful husband and best dad but as a man whose life made a lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to call him family or friend.
