Leslie Ann (Sanchez) Bell

Services for Leslie Ann (Sanchez) Bell, 66, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1111 Boone St., Cleburne, Texas with Pastor Calvin Watkins II officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 26, 2024, in Itasca Cemetery. Visitation will be at 2:00 P.M., prior to the service at the church. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Pickett, Regis Andrez, Jason Bell, Chris Gathings, Josh Lesley, and Perry Andrez.

Leslie passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024 in Cleburne. She was born July 1, 1958 in Queens, New York. She was the daughter of Winfield and Rosita (Andrez) Sanchez. In 2008, Leslie married her beloved husband, James Edmond Bell, in Cleburne. Leslie's journey in nursing began right after high school, although life took her on various paths before she returned to complete her education. After a decade, she pursued nursing school at night, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 2006. An accomplished Registered Nurse, Leslie dedicated her career to the medical field, with significant roles in the OBGYN department and home health care. She culminated her professional journey as the Charge Nurse at Walls Hospital in Cleburne, where her passion for helping others shone brightly. Throughout her life, Leslie demonstrated a generous and welcoming spirit. She cherished her family, embracing all her children as her own and delighting in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leslie had a deep appreciation for the little joys in life, enjoying cowboy westerns, especially "Bonanza" and "The Rifleman," and relishing her favorite pina colada slushies. A committed member of the Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church, for over 40 years. Leslie served as a deaconess and was actively involved in church activities, reflecting her unwavering faith, which was of great importance to her. Her commitment to her profession was evident, as she often balanced multiple jobs while ensuring she remained actively involved with her loved ones, while never missing sporting events, concerts, or activities for her children. Her compassion extended beyond her family; she was known for her kindness, often opening her home to those in need. 

Leslie will be remembered not only as a skilled nurse but as a healer of souls and a kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, James Bell; sons, Michael Pickett, Regis Andrez and wife, Melissa, Jason Bell and wife, Tiffan William-Bell, and James Darden; Myles Pickett and seven other grandchildren; sisters, Paula De LaRosa, and Michelle Robinson; nieces, Delina Robinson, and Tori Johnson; nephew, Perry Andrez; along with a host of other relatives, friends, and her church family.

Leslie was preceded in death by her parents; and uncle, Jose Andrez.
