Leslie David Renfro, aged 79, of Burleson, Texas, passed away on December 10, 2024, at Texas Health Harris Hospital in Fort Worth, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 11, 1944, in Gainesville, Texas.

A Vietnam Veteran, David honorably served in the U.S. Army for three years, which included time spent in Germany. Following his military service, he enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Maintenance Engineer, retiring from Bear Creek Golf Course.

David had a passion for western movies, particularly enjoying classics featuring his favorite actor, John Wayne, and he was an enthusiastic viewer of the popular series, Yellowstone. He cherished moments spent camping with family and friends, traveling across various states in their travel trailer. David took great pride in his cooking and he was not shy in telling you it was damn good. He had very few filters. David's spirit and memory will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel, with Robert Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at Nancy-Smith Cemetery in Glen Rose, located approximately six miles southwest of the town. Prior to the service, visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. on the same day. Pallbearers will include Donald Shaw, Duaine Coffey, Kenneth Coble, Roger Hobbs, Damien Hobbs, and Eddie Wellborn.

David is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sue Hinds Renfro, and his precious daughter, Lori (Boogs) Kay Renfro. He is also remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and his dedicated caregiver from the VA, Tammie Donahey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Geneva Renfro; brothers, John and Billy Renfro; sisters, Linda Turney and Nancy Williamson; and a special aunt, Amelia Wilson.
