Lewis "Junior" Mears 84 years of age passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas on Monday January 31, 2005

Funeral services for Lewis "Junior" Mears will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 4, 2005, at Cleburne's Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Chapel, with Phillip E. Hudson, Pastor of Calvary UPC of Denton officiating. Music will be provided by Calvary Praise Team. Burial will be in Brazos Point Cemetery, in Bosque County.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Eldon Ballard, Floyd Camp, Ronnie Comer, Benny Joe King, Jacky Mears and Waymond Wright. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Hirst, Brent Hirst, Justin Mears, Gene Neugent, Jonathan Garrett, Ricky Mears, Timothy Mears, Patrick Hudson, Junior Mears, Bradley Mears and Kason Mears.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, at Cleburne's Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home.

Junior Mears was born February 26, 1920 and raised near Brazos Point, Texas. Junior Mears retired from the City of Cleburne Water Department. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening and other outdoor activities. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Mears, in 2000. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Dale Mears, in 1979 and Johnny Lee Mears, in 1997 and his parents, Lewis Simpson Mears and Ethel Hudson Mears.

Survivors include three sons, Lewis C. Mears of Corpus Christi, Texas, Tim W. Mears of Covington, Texas and Steve Mears of Cleburne, Texas; three daughters Linda G. Hirst of Burleson, Texas, Shirley A. Neugent of Corpus Christi, Texas and Debbie L. Hudson of Denton, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
