Services for Lila Ruth Harless, 86, of Keene, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2008 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Kenneth Coleman will officiate. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2008 in Sunset Memorial Park, Odessa, TX.

Lila Ruth Harless passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in Ft. Worth. She was born June 10, 1921 in Round Rock, TX to Bennie Clark and Essie Ola Lee Buckner. She married Clinton Harless on December 1, 1943 in Abilene, TX.

Mrs. Harless was a bookkeeper and a member of Highland United Methodist Church in Abilene.

Lila Harless is survived by her daughter, Glenda Winsett of Godley; granddaughters, Michele Brooks and husband Bill of Godley and Marlo Showalter and husband Steve of Wilmington, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Christopher Showalter, Carey Showalter, Gregory Brooks and Chelsea Brooks; great-great-grandson, Casey Showalter; sister, June Runyon of Godley; brother, Charles "Pete" Buckner and wife Betty of Covington and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Harless in 2003 and 4 brothers.
