Graveside service for Lillie Mae North, 95, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015 in Rosehill Cemetery. The Reverend Keith Whitt will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Lillie Mae Montgomery North passed on to Heaven on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015. She was born Dec. 12, 1919 just outside of Cleburne on the Hill Ranch. She was the daughter of W.M. and Nettie Clark Montgomery. She grew up at Godley and graduated high school there in 1939. She married Frank North on Nov. 28, 1946 in Cleburne and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2002.
Mrs. North worked during the 2nd World War at Williamson-Dickie and later worked 26 years for Walls Industries. Lillie did a lot of handwork such as crochet, cross stitch, and sewing. She was a member of North Cleburne Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Donald North and wife Kay of Carrollton and Dennis North of Cleburne; her caretaker for many years and daughter-in-law, Vicki North of Cleburne; grandchildren, Matthew Frank North and wife Victoria of Bear, DE, Christina Keeney and husband Thomas of Bastrop, Amanda Grosz and husband Courtney of Amarillo, and Crystal North and husband Brian of Cleburne; great grandchildren, Katie North, Brennan and Blaine Keeney, Adler, Rowan and Cullen Grosz, and Alia North. She was also preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; two sisters; and a host of friends.
