Linda Burns

Service for Linda Jean Burns will be held at the Watts Chapel United Methodist Church in Grandview at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015. The Rev. Charles Migura will officiate. Pallbearers include Cody Murphy, Clint Murphy, Tye Short, Bob Krause, Bob Gilley, John Donovan, and honorary pallbearer, Ted Rainey.

Linda Jean Burns passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Ft. Worth. She was born December 29, 1948 in Seminole, Texas to Marvin Pettit and Bobbie Terrell Childers. She married Marvin Burns on May 26, 1989 in Cleburne, TX.

Mrs. Burns worked as a case manager for MHMR for 15 years and was of the Methodist faith. She loved her family and her adoring husband of over 25 years was her life’s soul mate.

Survivors include her husband Marvin Burns, children, Clint Slater Murphy and wife, Iliana of Ft. Worth, Cody Lance Murphy and wife, Lori of Paige, Texas and Melanie Jean Hassard and husband, Bob of Cleburne; two sisters, one brother, and numerous other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Her body has returned back to the earth and we all have gained an angel.
