Linda Davis

A Memorial Service for Linda West Davis, 80, of Rio Vista, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 03, 2022 at Chisholm Trail Church, 7770 CR 1208, Rio Vista, Texas. Reverend Wade Yarbro will officiate.

Linda West Davis passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. She was born on January 03, 1942, in Cleburne to Jesse Homer and Ophelia (Vossler) West. She married George A. Davis on February 11, 1961, in Cleburne.

Linda was an assistant Cashier in the banking industry with over 41 years of service to various banks which include: Cow Pasture Bank-14 years, Bosque County Bank-14 years, Community Bank-10 years, and First National Bank-3 years. She had a loving heart and showed her love by feeding everyone. She was famous for her cooking and baking. She had a strong will and independent streak. Linda’s impact on all who knew her was immense. When you think of her, you think about faith in God, family and working hard. She was one of a kind. Throughout the years, she enjoyed riding horses and being outdoors. Her grateful nature and love of family will be greatly missed.

Linda is survived by her husband of 61 years George A. Davis, Sr.; her children and their spouses, George Davis, Jr. and Leah, and Joetta Lin Payne and Kelly; 5 grandchildren and their spouses, Lacey Lavender and Chance, Lindsey McPherson and Josh, Kallie Seay and Joshua, Zane Payne and Katelyn, and Tripp Davis and fiancée, Canyon Crider ; 8 great-grandchildren, JC Lavender, Cooper Lavender, Jaedyn McPherson, Cutter Lavender, Jaxxon McPherson, Riley Seay, Reagan Seay, and Brody Davis Payne; sister, Shirley Green; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary West, Margie Davis Fuller and Bobby and Beth Davis; beloved dog, Toby Davis; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Charles West and Martha West; brothers-in-law, Joe Green and Joe Davis.
