Service for Linda Dean Edrington, 77, of Grandview, will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, January 6, 2022, in the Watts Chapel United Methodist Church. Reverend Tina Richardson and Brother Rick Moeller will officiate. Burial will follow in Watts Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Justin Williams, Brad Ransom, Jeff Dunnam and Brandon Fenn, Elijah Mathis and Teddy Don Rueffer.
Linda passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, in Fort Worth. She was born December 1, 1944, in Minden, Louisiana to Calvin Arvell and Mauverdyne Boyce Haynie. She married James Edward Edrington on February 23, 1968, in Luling, Louisiana. Linda’s life-long passion was being an elementary school teacher for Munday, Texas ISD with 31 years of service. She was an active member of Watts Chapel United Methodist Church. Linda enjoyed her many traveling adventures with Dot, and spending time with her friends, especially Marie and Molly. The light of her life were her boys, Doug and Colt, and she attended every event that she could. She loved her church family at Watts Chapel and approached every aspect of her life with a quiet strength.
Linda is survived by her son, Doug Edrington and wife, Justine of Grandview, TX; grandson, Colt Edrington of Grandview, TX; brother, Glen Haynie of Minden, LA; nine nieces and nephews; Sister-in-laws, Dot Gaston and husband, Jerry of Azle, TX; and Janice Edrington of St. Joseph, MO, along with a host of friends that she considered family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one infant daughter, and husband, James Edrington.
