Memorial service for Linda G. McBroom, 66, of Godley will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 12, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.
Linda G. McBroom passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in Fort Worth. She was born October 17, 1947 in Houston to David Samuel Wander Sr. and Nell Jean Rucker Wander. She married Albert Frank McBroom 28 years ago in Godley, Texas.
Mrs. McBroom worked as a senior editor at General Dynamics, retiring with 18 years of service. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing. She kept busy enjoying crafts and traveling throughout the United States. Linda was an animal lover of small and large animals alike. She was a professional handler and member for more than 20 years of the American Kennel Club and Cat Fanciers Association. Her loving nature and caring spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Frank McBroom; children, Rhonda Gail Groomer, Michael B. Groomer, Michael K. McBroom and wife Stephanie, and Wendy R. Taylor; grandchildren, Justin, Morgan, Colt, Hunter, Mackenzie, Ben, Noah, and Hillary; great grandchildren, Jaylen and Teagan; brothers, John Wander and wife Chris and David Wander and wife Donna; mother-in-law, Betty J. McBroom; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Jack McBroom; and daughter-in-law, Arely Allbright.
