Lizzie Roye

Services for Lizzie Belle Roye, 90, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Ed White will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Briscoe, Jackie Briscoe, David Marti, Josh White, Chris Bergman, and Albert Archer.. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Briscoe and Paul Marti, Jr. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday.

Mrs. Roye passed away Monday, July 5, 2010 in Fort Worth. She was born December 18, 1919 in the Parker community to Henry B. and Cynthia Morris Brown. She married Raymond Dewey Roye on November 7, 1953 in Weatherford.

Lizzie was a seamstress for over 40 years with Walls Industries before retiring. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne.

Mrs. Roye is survived by her daughters, Patsy Briscoe of Cleburne, Cynthia Marti and husband Paul of Grandview, Paula Kathryn White and husband, Ed of Boerne, Nancy Jane Bergman and husband, Danny of Cleburne, Vicki Gale Lambert and husband, David of Joshua; one brother, H.B. Brown, Jr and wife, Dovie of Cleburne; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, R.D. Roye on April 24, 2009.
