L.J. Miller

Service for L.J. Miller, 87, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 13, 2012 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. John Glover and Dr. John Hall will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

L.J. Miller, lifelong Cleburne TX resident, passed away on August 9, 2012 at 12:15pm. L.J. was born Dec 20, 1924 and lived to age 87. L.J. married his beloved wife Eva on Dec 31, 1948 and was called home by the Lord after 64 years of marriage. L.J. was preceded in death by 2 brothers (R.B. and O.B Miller) and 4 sisters (Mary Alice, Rosie, Jewel, and Lavada).

Mr. Miller retired after 43 years of service from Santa Fe Railroad as a Material Supervisor in the Store Department. After retirement, L.J. drove school buses for CISD for another 15 years.

L.J. was a dedicated and loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He was a friend to all, and found purpose helping family and friends with any needs they might have. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mr. Miller was an active member of Field Street Baptist Church and donations can be made in memory of his life to: Field Street Baptist Church, 201 N. Field Street, Cleburne, Texas 76033
or Mission Hospice, 505 N. Ridgeway Drive, Cleburne, Texas 76033.

L.J. is survived by his beloved wife Eva, only son David, daughter-in-law Nancy, and 5 grandchildren (Eric, Ashton, Jean, Dallas, and Andrew). Nieces and Nephews include: Grace and Phil Wright, Virginia Moeller, Keith Moeller, Steve Miller, Robert Miller, Larry Graham, Carolyn Graham.
