Lois passed away peacefully Friday, July 20, 2012, in Fort Worth with family by her side. Lois was born Dec. 12, 1925, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Gerald and Florence McKnight Walterhouse. She married Clyde Carlton Melton Dec. 2, 1945, in Bucyrus. She was a longtime member of Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Lois spent hours doing embroidery, sewing and quilting. She enjoyed bird watching, board games, puzzles and Wheel of Fortune. Lois loved to cook and was renowned for her fresh baked breads and desserts. Her biggest passion was reading and story time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a loving husband of 65 years, Clyde Melton; and her daughter, Jolene Marie Crownover.
