Lorene Hutson

Funeral services for Lorene Matthews Hutson, 84, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in the Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Kimball Cemetery (Bosque County). Pastor Mike Mizell will officiate along with Pastors Wayne McCoy and David Poss. Johnny Williams, Aaron Vass, Greg Muscara, Johnny Velarde, Chad McClure and Dustin Seay will serve as pallbearers. Lyn Hutson, Justin Conner, Coltin Conner, Bradley Conner and Jason Wise will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Organization as www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org .

Lorene Matthews Hutson passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 in Fort Worth. She was born September 17, 1929 to C.H. and Emma Mae “Huey” Matthews in Cleburne, Texas. She married Leonard B. Hutson of Cleburne on February 7, 1948. Lorene was a member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church, Cleburne for over 60 years. She served as Sunday School Secretary for almost 50 years. Her dedication to the Lord shone through her every thought and word. She served as Past Worthy Matron for several terms in the Order of the Eastern Star with both Cleburne and Itasca chapters. She also served as Mother Advisor for the International Order of Rainbow for Girls with the Cleburne chapter and Treasurer with the Alvarado Chapter. Lorene will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Burland Hutson and Jimmy Lynn Hutson; daughter, Linda Isbell Wise; sister, Charlene Barton; and brother in law, J.W. Barton.

Survivors include her granddaughters, Cinda Wise and husband, Joe, Leigh Ann Meche and husband, Paul, Betsy Conner and husband, Jon, and Amberly Gibbs; and grandsons, Lyn Hutson and Jason Isbell. Her legacy carries on with 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
