Service for Lou Ellen Shockley, 93, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 05, 2018 in the Calvary Baptist Church. The Reverend Charles Payne and The Reverend Earl Sides will officiate. Interment will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, in the DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
Lou Ellen Shockley passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 in Cleburne. She was born June 09, 1924 in Pope County, Arkansas to J. Lester and Beatrice (Montgomery) Griffin. She married William Harry Shockley on January 20, 1951 in Lancaster, Texas. She was a homemaker and member Calvary Baptist Church.
Lou Ellen is survived by her daughter, Kate Hicks of Cleburne; four grandchildren, Juli McKinney and husband Matt of Medina, Ohio, Jacob Hicks of Equality, Illinois, Kimberly Carpenter and husband Steve of Flower Mound and Stephen Hicks and wife Susan of Flower Mound; 8 great-grandchildren Jackson Montgomery, Dylan Marshall and Daniel Martin McKinney, Tyler Alexander, Kami Nicole, and Haley Noelle Carpenter, Matthew Benjamin and Morgan Ashleigh Hicks. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William Shockley, December 09, 2008 and son-in-law Dan Hicks.
